A New York City hotel developer is selling a building for $3.5 million, but it is not a new-school design.
Rather, it’s a mix of the old and the new, including a hotel that resembles the futuristic headquarters of Google’s parent company.
In a move that could transform a blighted area near the Brooklyn Navy Yard into a futuristic office tower, Hahne Capital Group plans to build a $1.5 billion residential development on the site of a former World War II aircraft carrier, and a hotel complex that would resemble Google’s futuristic headquarters.
The proposed development would be in the East River neighborhood just north of Manhattan’s Times Square, in a neighborhood of low-rise condos, retail and office buildings.
The project has been approved by the City Council, which will decide whether to build on the property in the fall.
The new structure, a mix between a hotel and a skyscraper, would be one of the first in a series of projects by the developer, Hacham Hachar, which is currently working on a second skyscraper and a large mixed-use project on the same site.
It would be built in a project called The Bowery, which has attracted developers from all over the world, said Hachac, who is also an investor in Google.
The company announced last week it had closed on a $2 billion deal to build Google’s headquarters in Mountain View, California.
The Bowerys would also be the site for a second hotel project called Bower House, which was also approved last week by the city’s Planning Commission.
Hachac said he is not interested in being seen as a developer who will make a flashy announcement in advance.
Instead, he is trying to build what he calls a “smart city” that will offer residents the option of living in smaller, smaller buildings, which are cheaper and more accessible.
The project, which Hachacon said will be completed in 2026, would include housing for up to 250 people and be anchored by a new building that would include a restaurant, a rooftop pool and a gymnasium.
The site would also include a large park and open space.
The developer said the buildings would be “uniquely designed to make living in the area more affordable and accessible,” and he has been talking to several real estate agents and other developers about the project.
Hahac said the new buildings would include apartments, condos and townhouses, but the building on the Navy Yard site will be the largest building.
He said the company is still evaluating the site and would make a decision on a site by site basis as it builds.
A lot of people are looking for a place to live in the future, he said.
The plans are different from other hotel developments in the region, which have typically been focused on luxury apartments and luxury condominiums, he added.
Hathac said some people are concerned that Google’s proposed headquarters is a good fit for the area, but he said Google’s offices in Mountain City and other cities around the world are a better fit.
“It will be a great place to work,” he said, “and a great city.”
A building for the future is what the company has been looking for, said Mark McInnis, a senior partner at Hachak Capital.
The company is also working on an office building in the city of Cambridge, Massachusetts.
The site is a “keystone of New York,” McInnes said.
Hannah Capital Group has also built a hotel on the waterfront near the New York Stock Exchange, the first of its kind in the United States.
The proposal has been rejected by the State Supreme Court.
Havannah Capital has been working on the Bowerhouse project for two years.
McInns said the firm has spent the past two years consulting with local residents and businesses about the site.
McInnis said the Bowers are “the most desirable piece of real estate in the whole project,” because it is close to a subway station.
The building, which would be about 5,000 square feet, would have an additional 10-story tower that would have a total of about 1,500 rooms.
