The depth of our understanding of the Earth and our place in it is becoming more and more clear with each passing year, with researchers identifying what is important and what isn’t, and exploring what could be done to improve the quality of life for the next generation of players and fans.
As such, the depth of the deep ecology field has increased with the advent of research into biodiversity, and a variety of environmental and societal issues which affect the environment, society and human beings.
It is therefore fitting that the world’s leading experts in deep ecology, including the late Australian Professor John Hawksworth and the late American author Stephen Jay Gould, have created the ‘Deep Ecology Foundation’ to provide the public with a common resource for the further development of this field.
“We are all in this together, but we all have a shared responsibility to our fellow human beings,” said Dr. George Gould.
